About Catalina Paints
The
origin
of
Catalina
Paints
starts
with
a
small
paint
factory
on
the
west
side
of
Los
Angeles
and
with
a
small
store
in
Beverly
Hills
and
Santa
Monica.
The
paint
factory
moved
to
its
current
location
in
North
Hollywood
in
1968.
Through
the
years
Catalina
Paint
Factory
has
manufactured
literally
millions
of
gallons
of
paint,
and
currently
can
boast
being
the
largest
paint
factory
in
the
San
Fernando
Valley-which
if
separated
from
Los
Angeles
would
be
the
6th
largest
metropolitan
area
in
the
country.
In
1994,
Catalina
was
approached
by
Benjamin
Moore
&
Co.,
the
premier
national
manufacturer
of
high-end
residential
and
industrial
paints.
Benjamin
Moore
was
looking
to
expand
further
in
the
California
market
and
felt
that
Catalina
would
be
a
good
match,
and
it
certainly
has
been.
Catalina
is
now
the
largest
distributor
of
Benjamin
Moore
Paints
in
the
Los
Angeles
area.
Catalina
has
been
growing
as
a
company
and
still
is
a
family
run
business
with
currently
9
stores.
Our
product
line
has
expanded
tremendously
just
within
this
last
decade.
With
our
own
manufactured
Catalina
Line
of
Paints,
we
have
Benjamin
Moore,
Pratt
&
Lambert,
stains,
lacquers,
imported
Italian
plasters
and
Marmorino,
and
tons
more.
Our
secret
to
success
is
our
customer
service
and
our
honest
approach
to
doing
business.
